Black Monday

There will henceforth commence a day of mourning for the loss by the New England Patriots. It was a good game, but I'm deeply saddened that the Pats didn't come out on top at the end. I guess now I'll have to watch the SuperBowl for the commercials.

So sorry about the loss! The good news is that Tom Brady looks mighty hot when he's trying to avenge a loss (which will be, like, all next season). Wheee!

okay, so clearly Pittsburgh wanted the other team to win, as there was all kinds of rejoicing at the bar I was at last night when they did. Sorry about your loss...

Sorry about the game. I was thinking about you and wishing for Patriot victory. I saw the Tom Brady interview before the game and now know why you are such a fan. :)

You are all so funny!! Thanks for your 'condolences'!! I am a fan, a huge fan, but I also realize it's just a GAME!! I love the Pats because the team does NOT include overpaid, overdramatic, overhyped players and they still get it done time and time again. I enjoy watching a team that plays like good sports and behaves like good sports. Tedy Bruschi will always represent what football SHOULD be in my mind. I'm sorry they lost, but it's okay. The world does keep turning!!

my sympathies. and yes, the superbowl is just for commercials now!! ;)

Bruschi really is the greatest, isn't he?

The last time they won the superbowl we went to Gillette to welcome them home. He walked next to the crowd holding the Lombardi trophy. There was high fiving and cheering and I snuck in a lil rub to his bicep. yum.

*regains composure*

Next year, when they win the big dance...you'll need to be here for that.

What can I say?

Other than I promise not to watch next year.

LOL!

My husband and I have NEVER watched a football game. We just aren't into it (he likes dirt bikes, snow mobiles, etc) BUT, since nothing else was on, we decided to watch the game. We feel very guilty now ... thinking we jinxed them. We'll never watch again. Promise.

Actually, today is technically (I learned this on Leno, fount of all knowledge...) Blue Monday. It's purported to be the gloomiest day of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere, that is)

I don't believe in jinxing or anything that we could do that somehow "caused" the loss. It was a well-played game (for the most part). To be honest, I might have been just as happy to see the Saints play in the SuperBowl. Might.
